Browser choices

Cookie & Storage Notice

The app relies mainly on browser storage rather than first-party cookies.

Choices

Necessary app functions and explicitly saved plans are stored locally. Optional journey measurement and advertising are separate choices and default to off. In this workspace build, journey events remain in this browser only; advertising requests are paused and no Google ad tag is loaded. The live site may differ until these changes are deployed.

Storage used by the app

  • Consent preferences: whether optional journey measurement is accepted or rejected. Stored in localStorage until changed or site data is cleared.
  • Ride Passport: plans and My Key outings you choose to save, including their destination, date, origin text and preferences. Stored in localStorage on this device/browser until removed or site data is cleared.
  • Trip-planner draft: current answers are automatically saved in localStorage to restore the unfinished planner. They have no app-set expiry and can be removed by clearing this site’s storage.
  • Optional measurement: selected event categories and timestamps, maximum 100 events, pruned after 30 days. No free-text query, dates, outbound URL or phone number is included in the event payload.
  • Service-worker cache: the app can cache same-origin pages and assets for offline use when the worker is installed. Clear the site’s browser storage/cache to remove it.
  • Selected photo: held as a temporary object URL in the current tab for image export; revoked when replaced or the page is left. It is not saved in localStorage.

Cookies and third-party requests

The project code does not set a first-party cookie. Google Fonts is requested from Google on page load. Google AdSense is present as a publisher integration in the source but is paused in this workspace build pending a Google-certified CMP/TCF setup; no ad request should be made by this build. Confirm the live behavior after deployment.

Google’s publisher guidance requires a Google-certified CMP integrated with IAB TCF when personalized ads are served to users in the EEA, UK or Switzerland. Google’s TCF v2.3 migration deadline was 1 March 2026. This site’s custom checkbox interface does not create a TCF string and is not a certified CMP. Consent Mode does not substitute for a CMP. The publisher must verify the account’s CMP message, TCF version, vendor settings, ad personalization and non-personalized/limited-ad controls in AdSense.

Managing and withdrawing choices

Open settings from the site footer or the button above. Rejecting or withdrawing journey measurement removes locally stored measurement history. Ad requests are currently disabled in this workspace; turning on a browser preference cannot enable them until the CMP and account setup are ready. You can also clear all site storage through your browser’s privacy/site-data controls; this may remove saved plans and offline pages.

Operator review still required

The legal entity and postal address behind Teleporio.com, applicable legal bases, data locations and transfer safeguards, processor retention terms, and the exact production advertising/CMP state are not verified. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of approval blockers.
